  2.       █  Thank you for trying FRGRAM2, an innovative hypertextual █
  3.       █  approach to reviewing and learning Basic French grammar. █

  6.     │  To install this software (a TSR file) on any IBM-compatible  │
  7.     │  computer that has (expectedly) a hard drive and is equipped  │
  8.     │  to display colors, do the following:                         │

  11.       ■  Copy (or move, or unzip) the FR_GRAM2.ZIP to a directory
  12.          of your choice: something that may have been done already.
  13.          (Although this software can be installed from a diskette,
  14.          doing so would not be appropriate, since the floppy drive
  15.          would respond too slowly to the user's hypertext requests.)         
  16.  
  17.       ■  When you feel ready to explore FRGRAM2, type these letters:
  18.          FRGRAM2 and press ENTER.  You will then see on the screen a
  19.          message telling you that the TSR has been installed in RAM
  20.          and that it can be called up onto the screen via a press of
  21.          the hotkeys (two keys pressed simultaneously): Ctrl + G.  
  22.  
  23.       ■  Additional explanations may very well be superfluous. On 
  24.          the other hand, the following may prove helpful and welcome.
  25.          When wishing to move from one screen to another you need only
  26.          use the PageDown, PageUp, Tab, Shift+Tab, Home, ESCape, and
  27.          F10 keys and the Down and Up Arrow keys.  When the cursor is 
  28.          on a highlighted "hyperlink", you press ENTER to move to the 
  29.          related screen.  (Press the Down and Up Arrow keys or the Tab 
  30.          and Shift+Tab keys to go toward or back to any hyperlink in a 
  31.          given screen.)  Be aware that when you press the F10 key you
  32.          will exit the TSR, which will reappear only after the hotkeys
  33.          (Ctrl + G) are pressed anew.  The F1 key, as is often the case, 
  34.          will, when activated at any time, provide a very useful single-
  35.          screen guide.  (Do try it.)
  36.           
  37.       ■  Pressing the PageDown key will bring up another "page" of
  38.          grammar-related explanations (if such are available in that 
  39.          screen or frame). Pressing the PageUp will return the user to 
  40.          the screen(s) or screenful(s) that have just been viewed.

  42.       ■  The ESCape key - when pressed - will bring up a menu. From
  43.          that menu the user can select several items including: EXIT 
  44.          (which can also be accessed via a press of the F10 key).
  45.  
  46.       ■  A brief TOUR of FRGRAM2 is easily accessible to you at the
  47.          opening screen of the TSR.  To access it, when the TSR's
  48.          menu appears, use the DOWN ARROW TO bring the cursor to the
  49.          hyperlink labelled "TOUR" and press Enter.
  50.          
  51.       ■  To view the registration or order form that is also avail-
  52.          able in the REGISTFG.DOC file, PageDown several times after
  53.          accessing the opening screen of FRGRAM2.

  55.       ■  The Files included in the FR_GRAM2.ZIP file are:

  57.          FRGRAM2.EXE:  - the hypertextual TSR grammar program
  58.          FG2GUIDE.BAT  - a batch file to help the user...
  59.          FRGRAM2.TXT   - the file processed by the above batch file
  60.          README2.TXT   - an ASCII textfile that should be read first.
  61.          README2.BAT   - a batch file that will load README2.TXT         
  62.          BROWSE2.COM   - the utility called by the batch files.   
  63.          FV2_HELP.EXE  - a "tour" of another TSR: FRVERBS2 
  64.          GRAM.ICO      - an icon for use in a WINDOWS group 
  65.          FRENFLAG.ICO  -  "   "   "   "   " "    "      "
  66.          FRENCH.ICO    -  "   "   "   "   " "    "      "
  67.          LAFRANCE.ICO  -  "   "   "   "   " "    "      "
  68.          ICONS.TXT     - a textfile related to the above icons
  69.          REGISTFG.DOC  - the form used to register FRGRAM2. After 
  70.                          loading it in an editor (EDIT) or word 
  71.                          processor you can readily print the form. 
  72.                          (To load the form in your system editor,   
  73.                          at the prompt type:  EDIT REGISTFG.TXT and   
  74.                          from the menu - after pressing the Alt key -
  75.                          choose "Print".  The same registration form 
  76.                          can be printed from within FRGRAM2.  When 
  77.                          in the form's screen, press the ESCape key 
  78.                          and select: "Print screen". )

  125.          (long in some cases), be sure that your computer and printer
  126.          are set to deal with the extended character set that is 
  127.          represented by lines, French accents etc....
